Billy Corgan eyes Smashing Pumpkins show at Las Vegas Sphere

Billy Corgan has expressed admiration for acts that have performed at the Las Vegas Sphere and indicated that The Smashing Pumpkins could stage a distinctive production there.

In a recent interview with Consequence, Corgan said he holds “mad respect for artists” who have appeared at the venue. He described the technical demands as significant, noting that it requires strong production skills and the ability to draw large crowds over time.

Corgan referenced prior performers including U2, Eagles and No Doubt. He added that if the band received an invitation, the Pumpkins could create a show unlike any other due to the theatrical elements of their records.

The comments follow Corgan’s earlier interest in bringing the band’s ‘A Night of Mellon Collie And Infinite Sadness’ concert, which features a 60-piece orchestra, to the Sphere. The tour began in North America after its March 2025 announcement.

Other artists mentioned in connection with the venue include Tool, which is in talks for a residency next year, and Metallica, which has announced dates for later this year.
