Chloe Trujillo unveils video for 'Lies' from EP 'Rebirth'

Singer and songwriter Chloe Trujillo has released the music video for her single 'Lies,' the latest track from her upcoming solo EP 'Rebirth,' set for release on March 5. The video, directed by Alejandro Ordonez and Raubtier Productions, features native dancers Ba'ac Garcia and M.Baaker to emphasize the song's themes of spiritual insight and shedding illusions. This follows her previous single 'As the Sky is Falling Down.'

Chloe Trujillo, a Paris-born artist based in Los Angeles, has shared the music video for 'Lies,' a haunting track with Middle Eastern influences from her independent solo EP 'Rebirth.' The EP is scheduled for release on March 5, marking a collection of soulfully expressive metal songs that reflect personal transformation.

Trujillo describes 'Lies' as a piece about "letting go of those lies we tell ourselves, freeing the ego, limiting beliefs, control, old identities and opening up to receive a higher truth. True spiritual insight comes from piercing beyond illusions, our own and the world’s or society’s and shedding old layers to reveal our truth." The video captures a ritualistic moment around a fire with performers Ba'ac Garcia and M.Baaker, highlighting authenticity in its portrayal of the song's message. It was produced in collaboration with Alejandro Ordonez and Raubtier Productions, the same team behind her earlier 'Path' video.

'Lies' succeeds the EP's lead single, 'As the Sky is Falling Down,' which features ominous guitar work and Trujillo's haunting vocals. In the track, she sings, "As the sky is falling down, I stand tall, wreckage all around, but I won’t fall," with spoken word elements over a turbulent bridge.

The EP 'Rebirth' was developed over 2024 and 2025, with Trujillo selecting four songs from a larger collection. She notes, "I have a stash of hundreds of songs waiting to be properly recorded, so for this EP, I selected four of those to finish. I already have another six or seven in mind for my next release." Production was handled by Jake Carmona, emphasizing themes of shedding the past and manifesting the future through metal-infused expressions.
