Dawnwalker RPG to carry saves into future games

Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco have confirmed that players will be able to carry their save data from The Blood of Dawnwalker into planned sequels. The announcement came from game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and the publisher ahead of the game's September 3 release. The series centers on a single half-vampire protagonist who can span centuries.

The first game is set in the 14th century and follows Coen, who becomes a vampire. Future entries will leap across time periods while maintaining a continuous story about the same character. Tomaszkiewicz explained that planning the full series from the start allows the team to plant story hooks early.

Bandai Namco confirmed there will be an option to import the save from the initial title. The approach echoes Mass Effect but focuses on one long-lived hero rather than multiple games with the same system.

Tomaszkiewicz noted that a time period for the sequel has already been chosen, though details remain undisclosed. Environment artist Adam Payet mentioned internal rumors about variety in settings to avoid repetition across entries.
