Following the appointment of Foreign Minister Dr. Gedion Timothewos as COP32 representative president yesterday, today's session focused on monitoring key project activities.
The Prime Minister described COP32 as 'the biggest platform to showcase Ethiopia to the world,' particularly to highlight its tourism potential. Over the next three years, the conference aligns with national development goals, aiming to present Ethiopia's image globally. Ensuring readiness for core issues and successful preparation is the primary objective.
Dr. Gedion Timothewos stated that COP32 is a major conference likely to bring significant chaos and turbulence for future generations, positioning Ethiopia as a global engager. Unlike previous assemblies, it is broad, comprehensive, and features a unique global network. The event includes five core committees, along with numerous geopolitical platforms and round tables. Successful hosting will transform, engage, and welcome the country.
