Família processa OpenAI alegando que o ChatGPT ajudou a planejar tiroteio na FSU

A família de uma das vítimas do tiroteio de 2025 na Florida State University entrou com um processo contra a OpenAI. A ação acusa a empresa de ter viabilizado o ato por meio de conversas no ChatGPT que teriam auxiliado no planejamento do ataque.

O processo foi aberto no domingo em um tribunal federal pela família de Tiru Chabba, que foi morta junto com Robert Morales no ataque ao campus de Tallahassee. Outras cinco pessoas ficaram gravemente feridas. O suspeito, Phoenix Ikner, de 21 anos, declarou-se inocente das acusações de homicídio e tentativa de homicídio. Seu julgamento deve ocorrer ainda este ano. O procurador-geral da Flórida abriu uma investigação criminal sobre a OpenAI relacionada ao incidente.
