Federation House held funeral for former Afe Gubae ambassador Abaate. The service took place at Qidiste Sillasie Cathedral Church. High-ranking officials and dignitaries attended.
Addis Ababa, Miyazya 21, 2018 (Fana) – The Federation House held the funeral for former Afe Gubae ambassador Abaate at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church with full honors.
President Taye Atske Sillasie, along with high-ranking federal and regional officials, ambassadors from various countries, and religious institution leaders, attended the burial service.
Born on Megabit 10, 1946 E.C. in Gubiye town, Werada district, Raya and Qobo awraja, former Wollo province, to parents Abaate Reta and Weyzero, Abaate served in various positions in the Amhara region, including as regional Afe Gubae. He served three years in the Federation House's Afe Gubae and was appointed as Ethiopia's ambassador to Brazil.
While receiving treatment for his illness, he passed away on Miyazya 19, 2018 E.C. at the age of 72.
