The Ethiopian Religious Institutions Council organized a national outdoor peace and coexistence prayer program under the theme “Our Religious Values for Our Sustainable Peace” at Arada Park in Addis Ababa.

Liq Tguhan Qesis Tagay Tadelle, the council’s secretary general, stated that Ethiopians face challenges and opportunities in a changing global context. He said the common agenda for Ethiopians should be to consolidate sustainable peace and strong religious values.

The secretary general described Ethiopian identity as an impregnable mountain of honor. He noted that unity under this identity grows stronger in times of hardship, even as differences exist in language, religion, and culture.

The event was attended by heads of member faiths, Federation Council Speaker Agengehu Teshager, and other senior government officials.
