Tigray protest in Addis Ababa condemns TPLF conscription

The Tigray Peace and Change Council held a peaceful protest at Meskel Square in Addis Ababa. The demonstration opposed the TPLF group's war preparations.

A peaceful protest took place yesterday at Meskel Square in Addis Ababa. It was organized by the Tigray Peace and Change Council to condemn oppression and war preparations by the illegal TPLF group.

Former Tigray interim administration president Getachew Reda attended and stated that the TPLF is beating the drum of war for its own power. Demonstrators opposed actions that violate the Pretoria Agreement.

The US State Department has imposed visa sanctions on TPLF leaders and their families. The Tigray people seek peace, development and recovery instead of conflict.
