Peaceful protest against Tigray oppression set for Saturday in Addis Ababa

The Tigray Peace and Change Council announced a peaceful demonstration against oppression in the Tigray region will take place this Saturday at Meskel Square in Addis Ababa.

The Tigray Peace and Change Council, through its media sector coordinator Ato Kebede Assefa, issued a statement announcing the event.

The demonstration is scheduled for Hamle 11, 2018 E.C., starting at 12 noon at Meskel Square. Ato Kebede stated that the TPLF group is inflicting various forms of oppression and suffering on the people of the Tigray region.

The goal is to raise awareness with the international community and the federal government so they take action. Organizers called on all patriotic Ethiopians to participate and make their voices heard.
