FRA to launch training programme for state-owned firms ahead of public offerings

The Financial Regulatory Authority will launch a specialised training programme within days for state-owned companies provisionally listed on the Egyptian Exchange and their executives.

The programme aims to prepare participants for listing and public offering requirements while promoting best practices in corporate governance, disclosure and investor relations. It is designed and delivered by the Financial Services Institute, the FRA’s training arm, in coordination with the State Ownership Unit.

Chairperson Islam Azzam said the initiative reflects the FRA’s developmental role and will transfer international best practices to companies. It will be rolled out in successive cohorts, starting with firms that already have provisional listings.

Tarek Seif, Executive Director of the Financial Services Institute, noted that the curriculum will include lectures, case studies and simulations covering listing procedures, financial readiness and post-listing compliance. The State Ownership Unit has secured provisional listings for 20 state-owned companies so far.
