Wamalwa condenou a colaboração da polícia com capangas como uma ameaça à democracia. Matiang’i, seu antigo colega de ministério, criticou a politização da pasta do Interior, observando que nenhuma avaliação de segurança considera Gachagua um risco. Seki detalhou interrupções anteriores em Isinya, Kiserian e Ngong.

O Comandante da Polícia do Condado de Kajiado, Alexander Shikondi, negou as alegações, insistindo que a polícia não orquestra ataques contra cidadãos. “É lamentável que alguém alegue que o Serviço Nacional de Polícia instiga ou perpetra violência contra os quenianos”, disse ele, solicitando que denúncias formais com provas sejam apresentadas.
