German auditors forecast subdued growth through 2030

A survey shows that Germany's auditing firms expect lower revenue growth. Expansion is slowing, particularly in consulting services.

German auditors expect only subdued growth in their business through 2030. Revenue in the sector is projected to rise by 5.7 percent this year. That marks the weakest increase in four years.

The findings come from a survey by market researcher Lünendonk & Hossenfelder released on Thursday. Many firms are losing the double-digit growth rates seen previously. The weak economy is the main reason, hitting management consulting the hardest.

Audit and tax advisory services remain stable. The companies also anticipate shifts in partner models and plan to hire fewer new entrants.
