Gluecifer releases new single and video for 'I'm ready'

Norwegian rock band Gluecifer has unveiled their latest single, 'I'm Ready,' along with an accompanying video, building anticipation for their upcoming album. This follows their comeback single 'The Idiot' released last September. The track previews the group's first studio album in over two decades.

Gluecifer, the Norwegian rock outfit known for blending punk rock, traditional rock 'n' roll, and glam elements, returned to the scene in spring 2018 after a hiatus. Their previous studio album dates back 21 years, marking a significant gap before their recent resurgence.

Last September, the band dropped their first comeback single, 'The Idiot,' setting the stage for a full return. Now, 'I'm Ready' serves as the second preview from their forthcoming album, 'Same Drug New High,' scheduled for release on January 16, 2026, through Steamhammer.

Vocalist Biff Malibu shared insights into the song's creation: "One of the last songs we wrote for the record. Captain Poon had worked out a chord structure that fell into place really fast, and that we felt had a kinda of happy and positive ring to it. I threw in some lyrics on the same note, and the song sort of wrote itself from there."

The band, comprising founding members Biff Malibu on vocals and Captain Poon on guitar, alongside longtime collaborators Raldo Useless on guitar, Danny Young on drums, and Peter Larsson on bass, demonstrates renewed maturity and versatility. Despite global uncertainties, Gluecifer remains a steadfast presence in Norway's rock scene, delivering the energetic sound their fans expect.

The video for 'I'm Ready' is now available for viewing, offering fans a visual taste of the album's vibe.
