Guests arrive from various parts of Ethiopia. It began on Hidar 25, 2016 E.C. and is registered by UNESCO as an intangible world cultural heritage. Among traditional festivals promoting brotherhood, it serves as a cultural bridge in eastern Ethiopia, fostering people-to-people ties. The event also boosts the tourism sector.
