Heavy rains persisting from Saturday (March 7, 2026) until Sunday morning have triggered flooding across various parts of DKI Jakarta. According to the latest data from the DKI Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) as of 08:00 WIB, 75 neighborhood units (RTs) and 19 roads are inundated, with water levels ranging from 20 centimeters to 1.7 meters. "This morning, the water has reached about 125-150 centimeters, and it's still rising," said Joni.

The BPBD has conducted evacuations and coordinated with the Water Resources Agency (Dinas SDA), Public Works Agency (Dinas Bina Marga), and Transportation Agency (Dinas Gulkarmat) for water pumping. In nearby areas, such as Kota Tangerang, nine subdistricts are also affected with levels up to 1.5 meters in Periuk Subdistrict, and residents have evacuated to posts like mosques and sports centers. Head of Operations for Tangerang City BPBD, Mahdiar, stated, "We continue to evacuate affected residents to evacuation posts for safety."

Additionally, the Angke Hulu monitoring post escalated to Alert Level 1 with a height of 340 cm at 02:00 WIB, prompting flood warnings for subdistricts like Kembangan Selatan and Cengkareng Timur. The public is urged to call 112 in emergencies. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts light rain with thunder to continue throughout the day.
