Infrastructure projects listed to boost created community usability

Ethiopia's Government Communication Service has listed infrastructure projects boosting usability for created communities. Efforts in roads, housing, and water sectors aim to improve citizens' social and economic welfare.

The Government Communication Service stated that infrastructure projects supporting usability for created communities have been listed and highlighted.

Over recent years, the government invested heavily in roads, housing, and water sectors to enhance citizens' social and economic welfare. Road coverage grew from 126,773 km in 2010 E.C. to over 180,232 km. More than 53,000 km of new roads were constructed, with the Modjo-Arsi Negelle and Diredawa-Dewele projects now operational.

In housing, over 3 million hectares of land were prepared for commercial farming through sugarcane outgrower schemes. In water, numerous clean water projects were implemented in the past six years, including Logiya, Gode, Legegadi Phase 2 irrigation, Angelle water, Dalifage multi-purpose dam, and Huriso water projects.

These developments created jobs for millions and built technical capacity. The government continues to expand and maintain basic services, focusing on remote areas.
