Kopparstaden invests millions in senior apartments in Falun

Falun faces a shortage of senior apartments, but the situation may improve next year. Kopparstaden is constructing more safe and accessible homes for the elderly at a cost of at least 35 million kronor.

Falun suffers from a shortage of senior apartments, posing challenges for elderly residents. According to a press release from Kopparstaden, a major investment is planned to address this need. In partnership with Byggpartner, Tallbacksgården in the Lustigknopp area is being renovated into 36 new senior apartments. Further investments are also being made at Hosjögården.

This multi-million investment, amounting to at least 35 million kronor, aims to provide safe and accessible homes. Construction is expected to be completed by next year at the latest, which may alleviate the shortage to some extent. Kopparstaden highlights the importance of tailored housing for seniors in the region.
