Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has received the presidential decree granting rehabilitation to three defendants in the corruption case involving the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP. The agency will soon process the release of Ira Puspadewi and the two other defendants. This follows a court verdict in November 2025.
On Friday, November 28, 2025, KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed that the agency had received the presidential decree on rehabilitation for three defendants in the alleged corruption case involving the business cooperation and acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) from 2019 to 2022. "The letter has been received," Budi told journalists in Jakarta.
The KPK will promptly process the release of Ira Puspadewi, former President Director of PT ASDP from 2017 to 2024, along with two other directors: Muhammad Yusuf Hadi (Director of Commercial and Services 2019-2024) and Harry Muhammad Adhi Caksono (Director of Planning and Development 2020-2024). Earlier, the KPK named four suspects, including PT Jembatan Nusantara owner Adjie, who is not included in the rehabilitation.
The case stemmed from the KPK's investigation, which forwarded the files of the three PT ASDP suspects to the public prosecutors. On November 6, 2025, during the trial, Ira Puspadewi rejected the accusation of harming the state, believing the acquisition was beneficial as it secured 53 ships with operating permits.
On November 20, 2025, the panel of judges sentenced Ira to 4 years and 6 months in prison, while Yusuf and Harry each received 4 years, citing state losses of Rp1.25 trillion. However, Chief Judge Sunoto issued a dissenting opinion, stating that the actions of the three defendants did not constitute corruption.
The rehabilitation was announced on November 25, 2025, by Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, on behalf of President Prabowo Subianto. The day before, on November 27, Budi Prasetyo noted that the KPK would receive the letter and urged the public to await further proceedings.
