The Corruption Eradication Commission raided the home of former Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections Silmy Karim in Kebayoran Baru on Friday June 5 2026 and seized several luxury vehicles and cash.
The search lasted about five hours. Officers carried out two Porsche units one red and one silver two Harley-Davidson units one Ducati unit and a total of ten two-wheeled vehicles including Vespa. KPK also secured rupiah foreign currency jewelry and seven bicycles from the residence. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the raid aimed to gather additional evidence in the alleged extortion case involving foreign nationals residence permits. Silmy Karim was named a suspect along with seven other officials. The case covers the period 2022 to 2026 and originated from handling of foreign worker utilization plans at the Ministry of Manpower since 2025.
