The LG Twins defeated the Doosan Bears 6-1 on May 6 at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, powered by home runs from Lee Jae-won and Song Chan-eui.
Im Chan-kyu struck out a season-high five batters over six innings of one-run ball. Lee Jae-won drilled a two-run homer off Choi Seung-yong after an 11-pitch at-bat, marking his first KBO homer since October 14, 2023.
Song Chan-eui added a solo shot to extend the lead to 5-0. The Bears answered with a fifth-inning solo homer by Park Chan-ho, but could not score again.
The Twins announced that cleanup hitter Moon Bo-gyeong will miss four to five weeks with a left ankle ligament injury suffered on May 5. Backup outfielder Choi Won-young will also miss seven to eight weeks with a right ankle injury.
