A SharpLink, a Bitmine e o CEO da Consensys, Joe Lubin, estão financiando a Ethlabs, uma nova organização de pesquisa sem fins lucrativos lançada por cinco ex-pesquisadores da Ethereum Foundation.

A Ethlabs foi anunciada na segunda-feira com o apoio da SharpLink Gaming, da Bitmine Immersion Technologies e de Joe Lubin. O grupo também inclui a Anchorage Digital, a Octant e a SNZ.

A organização é liderada por Ansgar Dietrichs, Barnabé Monnot, Caspar Schwarz-Schilling, Josh Rudolf e Julian Ma. O trabalho anterior deles abrangeu escalabilidade do Ethereum, disponibilidade de dados, economia de protocolo e finalidade de rede.

Os esforços iniciais terão como foco uma liquidação de transações mais rápida, maior capacidade de rede e melhor infraestrutura para ativos tokenizados e stablecoins. Toda a pesquisa será publicada abertamente com administração de subsídios independente.

O lançamento ocorre após várias saídas de alto nível da Ethereum Foundation, incluindo a recente saída da codiretora executiva Hsiao-Wei Wang.

Bullish on ETH but not for any nonprofit halo. This is a power grab for Ethereum’s roadmap by the biggest bagholders and insiders. If Ethlabs ships scaling and institutional plumbing, that’s real alpha. If not, it’s just more governance theater with Lubin all over it.
