On Thursday, December 11, 2025, around 6:30-6:39 a.m. WIB, students at SDN 01 Kalibaru were participating in a literacy reading activity on the school field when an MBG delivery vehicle suddenly broke through the gate and struck them. The vehicle belonged to SPPG RW 03 Kalibaru with license plate B 2093 UIU and was driven by Adi Irawan, a local resident.
According to Polsek Cilincing reports, the incident injured 17 students and one teacher, with injuries ranging from minor to severe. However, sources from Polda Metro Jaya indicate 19 students and one teacher as victims, totaling 20 people. There were no fatalities, as confirmed by Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency Nanik S Deyang: "No deaths among the victims."
The driver was immediately secured by police for further questioning. Head of Public Relations for Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated: "The driver has been secured." North Jakarta Police Chief, Commissioner Erick Frendriz, visited the scene to ensure medical attention. Victims were treated at RS Koja (five people), RSUD Cilincing (14 people), Puskesmas Cilincing (one person), and one was discharged.
A viral video from Instagram account @sekitaran_jakut shows students running in panic after the vehicle burst into the assembly field. Initial suspicions point to the driver mistakenly pressing the gas pedal instead of the brake. The incident highlights the need for caution in school areas, especially during student activities.
