Nicolas Winding Refn says neon demon inspired neon's name

Nicolas Winding Refn has revealed that his 2016 film The Neon Demon directly inspired the name of the production and distribution company NEON. The director is now collaborating with the company on his upcoming project Her Private Hell.

Refn recently explained the connection while discussing his return to the Cannes Film Festival. He noted that NEON's founders drew from the title of his hyper-stylized 2016 movie starring Elle Fanning. The film will debut at Cannes on May 18 before its U.S. release on July 24.
