Nicolas Winding Refn har avslöjat att hans film The Neon Demon från 2016 var den direkta inspirationen till namnet på produktions- och distributionsbolaget NEON. Regissören samarbetar nu med företaget i sitt kommande projekt Her Private Hell.

Refn förklarade nyligen kopplingen när han diskuterade sin återkomst till filmfestivalen i Cannes. Han noterade att NEON:s grundare hämtade namnet från titeln på hans hyperstiliserade film från 2016 med Elle Fanning i huvudrollen. Filmen har premiär i Cannes den 18 maj innan den släpps i USA den 24 juli.
