On day eight of the RTL show 'I'm a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!', actress Nicole Belstler-Boettcher became the first celebrity to leave the camp in the Australian rainforest. She received the fewest viewer calls, amid ongoing disputes involving musician Gil Ofarim.
In Murwillumbah, Australia, Nicole Belstler-Boettcher (62), known from 'Marienhof', ended her participation in the jungle camp prematurely. On day eight, she received the fewest calls and finished last, followed by colleague Stephen Dürr (51) with the second-fewest votes.
"I was really exhausted the last two days," Belstler-Boettcher said after her elimination. "No one wants to go first," she emphasized, but looked forward most to "something to eat." Host Jan Köppen remarked: "She wasn't as present as many others." Sonja Zietlow added: "You can't really put her in a box."
Belstler-Boettcher named musician Gil Ofarim (43) as the camper she would miss least. Indeed, the conflict escalated again: Young contestant Ariel attacked Ofarim over his 2021 Davidstern scandal, where he falsely accused hotel staff of antisemitism and later retracted the claims. In a joint trial, they earned five out of twelve stars.
Ofarim remained silent due to a non-disclosure agreement: "I also want an answer – from the German justice system." In the argument with Ariel, he asked: "What did I admit, what did I say?" He called the situation a "shitshow" and "my RTL," resigning: "The whole shitstorm ... I'll probably have to live with it for the rest of my life."
