Nida Khan arrested in Nashik TCS conversion case

Nashik police have arrested Nida Khan, a key accused in the TCS religious conversion and sexual harassment case, from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. She had been absconding for 25 days after her anticipatory bail plea was rejected.

Nashik City police arrested Nida Khan on Thursday from the Naregaon area of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik confirmed the arrest. She will now be brought to Nashik and produced before a court on Friday.

Nida Khan faces allegations of giving the victim a burqa, religious books and installing Islamic apps on her phone. The court had observed that it appeared to be a planned conspiracy to send the victim to Malaysia.

Nine FIRs have been registered in the case and seven other accused have already been arrested. Four main accused have been sent to judicial custody till May 18. TCS stated that it maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment.
