Pemex investirá 93 bilhões de pesos em petroquímica e fertilizantes

O Ministério da Energia apresentou um programa de reativação de petroquímica e fertilizantes da Pemex que envolve investimentos de 93 bilhões de pesos entre 2026 e 2030.

Luz Elena González, chefe do Ministério da Energia, delineou o plano durante a coletiva de imprensa matinal da presidente Claudia Sheinbaum. O diretor-geral da Pemex, Juan Carlos Carpio, e a governadora de Veracruz, Rocío Nahle, estiveram presentes. O plano visa aumentar a produção nacional de fertilizantes em 849 mil toneladas anuais para ultrapassar 4 milhões de toneladas por ano. Os centros de Morelos, Cangrejera e Cosoleacaque atingirão 1,8 milhão de toneladas anuais, enquanto a ProAgro e a Fertinal adicionarão 2,4 milhões de toneladas. Carpio afirmou que os investimentos apoiarão os setores agrícola, automotivo, de plásticos, têxtil, farmacêutico e químico. A planta de Escolín, em Poza Rica, também será integrada. O objetivo é fortalecer a soberania energética e a autossuficiência alimentar do México.
