Polymarket becomes exclusive prediction market partner for Golden Globes

Polymarket, the world's largest prediction market, has announced a partnership with the Golden Globes to serve as the exclusive prediction market for the awards show. This deal will provide real-time forecasts and insights during the live event. The collaboration aims to enhance fan engagement through market-based probabilities on winners.

Polymarket, launched in 2020, has rapidly grown into a major platform for gauging public sentiment on diverse topics including politics, sports, and entertainment. The new partnership positions it as the exclusive prediction market for the Golden Globes, offering users real-time forecasts for top race winners during the live telecast.

As part of the agreement, Polymarket will integrate branding and percentage-based predictions at the official 2026 Golden Globes viewing party. Digital modules from Polymarket will also appear across key brands under Penske Media Corporation, the parent company of the Golden Globes and Variety.

Shayne Coplan, founder and CEO of Polymarket, stated, “The Golden Globes have long been a place where audiences debate and predict what will happen next. Polymarket reflects those expectations through markets spanning entertainment and culture, and this partnership brings that perspective directly into one of awards season’s biggest moments. By pairing cultural debate with market-based probabilities, we’re giving fans a new, more interactive way to follow the show as it unfolds.”

Craig Perreault, President of Penske Media Corporation, added, “Our partnership with Polymarket unlocks a groundbreaking new frontier, redefining how audiences engage with and connect to the content they love. Deepening the connection between fans and their favorite films, shows, and actors strengthens the entertainment industry and highlights the award-winning content celebrated at the Golden Globes.”

Polymarket functions similarly to fantasy sports platforms, allowing users to predict outcomes and earn cash prizes based on odds, powered by blockchain technology. The 2026 Golden Globes will broadcast live on CBS from 8-11 p.m. ET on Sunday, with streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. Comedian Nikki Glaser will host for the second consecutive year, with Polymarket insights integrated throughout the event ecosystem.
