The Swedish Work Environment Authority inspected Region Dalarna’s handling of doctor overtime. It has ruled the overtime too high and issued a ban on allowing it to continue.

The region risks fines if it does not follow the decision. Per Segerros, HR chief for healthcare, commented on the ruling.

The decision does not change our ambition to follow the legislation, says Per Segerros.

An earlier report mentioned 1 000 hours of unauthorized overtime, which was accurate at the time.
