Region Dalarna recruits permanent doctors to Hedemora health center

Following criticism of poor continuity and medication errors at Hedemora health center, Region Dalarna is implementing changes.

Three permanent doctors have been recruited to the health center. During the autumn a new working method will be introduced with named teams for each patient.

Each team consists of an assistant nurse and a nurse alongside the doctor. The aim is to improve continuity of care.

The criticism was directed at the health center's previous handling of patient contacts and medication.
