Hyderabad's efforts to revive its water bodies continue with the upcoming inauguration of two restored lakes under the Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA). The historic Bam Rukn-ud-Daula Lake, located in Shivarampally, and Nalla Cheruvu in Kukatpally, form part of this lake rejuvenation initiative.

A statement from HYDRAA indicates that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to open Bam Rukn-ud-Daula Lake on Friday, March 6, 2026. This event marks the reopening of the lake to the public after restoration works. Nalla Cheruvu will be inaugurated a couple of days later, further advancing the agency's goals in protecting and enhancing Hyderabad's assets against disasters.

These restorations highlight ongoing updates in Hyderabad's environmental management, focusing on historic sites like Bam Rukn-ud-Daula Lake.
