Rod Stewart needed an oxygen tank and sat down to finish his concert after nearly fainting during a show in West Valley City, Utah, on Friday.
The 81-year-old singer struggled toward the end of his hit “Young Turks” at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre. He doubled over, leaned on stage equipment, and received an oxygen tank from his team before telling the audience he had nearly fainted.
Stewart assured fans the “show must go on” and asked jokingly, “Would you mind if I sat down for this one?” He completed the performance seated in a chair.
The venue sits at about 4,300 feet above sea level, which may have played a role. This follows Stewart’s cancellation of a June 12 concert in San Diego due to an acute upper respiratory infection and laryngitis.
Stewart continues his One Last Time tour with U.S. dates through August and a planned U.K. run in 2027.
