Sara Bareilles announces Good Grief album and tour

Sara Bareilles has announced her new studio album Good Grief along with a supporting North American tour. The release marks her first full-length project in seven years.

The Grammy winner revealed the album, due Aug. 28, on June 3. It includes the lead single Home and was largely recorded over six days at Dreamland Recording Studios in Woodstock, New York, with additional work at Long Pond Studios. Bareilles also shared details of a documentary titled Sara Bareilles: Good Grief, which is set to premiere June 4 at the Tribeca Festival. The film captures her return to the studio with longtime collaborators including drummer Charley Drayton and guitarist Butterfly Boucher. A North American tour begins Sept. 9 in Boston and visits New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and other cities. Ticket pre-sales start June 8, with general sales on June 10. The album features the track Salt Then Sour Then Sweet, co-written with Brandi Carlile and the late Andrea Gibson. Bareilles is also scheduled to make her Rolling Stone Residency debut June 11 in New York City.
