Slay the Spire 2 gets second major update

Mega Crit released the second major update for Slay the Spire 2 on June 18. The patch incorporates changes from recent beta branches and introduces Steam Workshop support.

The update removes the controversial Act 3 boss Doormaker and replaces it with a new boss called Aeonglass. Several elites including Skulking Colony and Infested Prism also received balance adjustments.

Steam Workshop integration now allows players to download mods directly through the client. As of the update, 420 mods are available, including one that restores Doormaker.

Developers fixed a longstanding PRNG bug that had affected random outcomes in the game. The correction also restored the Rebound card to the Trash Heap event, where it had previously failed to appear.

Mega Crit said the update includes a few additional changes new to all players. The next beta patch is expected in two weeks.
