Tom Morello has announced his new solo album 'Everyone Gets Everything They Want' and released the single 'Date Night'. The record is scheduled for release on September 25 via Mom + Pop Music.
The Rage Against the Machine guitarist shared the track, which tells the story of Dutch resistance fighters Truus Oversteegen, Freddie Oversteegen and Hannie Schaft during the Second World War.
Morello said in a statement: “I make anti-racist songs for anti-racists. I make anti-fascist songs for anti-fascists. And I make anti-Nazi songs for anti-Nazis. ‘Date Night’ is really a ‘which side are you on?’ song. If any of that offends you, do the math. Oh, and Roman Morello wrote the killer riff in this tune.”
The album features collaborations with Kneecap on 'Unconquered', Beartooth on 'Everything Burns', and System of a Down's Serj Tankian alongside Morello's son Roman on 'Adjourn It'. Roman also shares writing credits on five songs.
Morello is set to headline the Power to the People Festival on October 3 in Columbia, Maryland, with performers including Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters and Joan Baez. Additional tour dates are scheduled for September in Nashville, Louisville and Milwaukee, followed by Canadian shows in March 2027.
