Cantiere delle Marche launches 33m Nauta Air 108 yacht Tartaruga

Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche has launched the 32.6-metre Nauta Air 108 motor yacht Tartaruga, the sixth in its Nauta Air series. The vessel features updated styling and engineering for enhanced efficiency and comfort. Interiors remain bespoke and unrevealed, emphasizing understated luxury.

The launch of Tartaruga marks another milestone for Cantiere delle Marche (CdM), with the yacht representing an evolved version of the Nauta Air series. Designed by Italian studio Nauta, it includes modern upgrades such as fashion plates integrated with tinted windows along the main deck and forward storage for a six-metre tender and crane.

Accommodations provide space for up to 12 guests in five cabins across the main and lower decks, including a full-beam owner's cabin forward on the main deck. The main saloon offers an L-shaped sofa and formal dining area, while outdoor spaces include a cockpit with clear aft views and an expansive sundeck for al fresco enjoyment.

Guido Valtorta, co-director of Nauta, described the interior concept: “The interior concept, entirely bespoke, reflects the owner’s lifestyle and sensibility. Architectural geometries meet carefully selected furniture pieces, creating a contemporary yet sophisticated atmosphere. A balanced palette of natural tones, authentic materials, clean lines and subtle organic details — an expression of fine craftsmanship — is enhanced by expansive openings that flood the spaces with light. The result is an ambience of understated elegance and quiet luxury.”

Engineering highlights include a Dynamic Positioning System for restricted anchoring areas, a bulbous bow, and flat aft sections to improve fuel efficiency, stability, and seakeeping. Propulsion comes from twin 533kW Caterpillar C18 Acert engines equipped with a Selective Catalytic Reduction system meeting IMO emission standards. The yacht accommodates a crew of five, with the captain's cabin near the wheelhouse.

Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO of CdM, reflected on the series' history: “In 2014, with the launch of Yolo, the Nauta Air line marked our first step towards differentiating CdM’s production of semi-custom explorer yachts. It was the first collaboration with internationally renowned design studio Nauta.” He added that the yard continually refines models to adapt to market needs, thanking Michel Chryssicopoulos of IYC for his partnership.

CdM currently has 11 yachts in build or on order, including three 49.9-metre Flexplorer 165 units, following recent sales of two 45-metre explorer yachts inspired by Giorgio M. Cassetta.
