Ethiopia National Dialogue sub-group discussions begin officially

Ethiopia's National Dialogue Commission announced the official start of the discussion phase in 80 sub-groups in Addis Ababa.

Commissioner Ambassador Mahmud Dirir stated that the sub-group discussions represent a key phase of the National Dialogue. Consultants will present their views on the eight assigned agendas.

Each major working group consists of 10 sub-groups, for a total of 80 sub-groups. The consultants have participated in preliminary consultations since Hamle 8, 2018.

The commission has deployed 160 facilitators and 256 rapporteurs to support the process. This stage involves more than 4,000 consultants gathered in Addis Ababa.
