Google och Telekom omstrukturerar partnerskap för suverän molntjänst

Partnerskapet mellan Google och T-Systems för suveräna molnlösningar i Tyskland står inför en omstrukturering, och Google för redan samtal med en ny partner.

År 2021 tillkännagav Telekom och Google gemensamt ett projekt för en suverän molntjänst i Tyskland. Det fokuserade på företag, myndigheter och hälso- och sjukvårdssektorn.

Tre källor med insyn har uppgett för Handelsblatt att partnerskapet i sin nuvarande form kan vara nära sitt slut. Google för redan samtal med en ny partner.

Skiftet markerar en vändpunkt för det projekt som en gång var symboliskt och involverade team i Düsseldorf och San Francisco.

Deutsche Telekom, the German mobile provider and majority owner of T-Mobile in the US, is launching an AI assistant integrated directly into phone calls on its network in Germany. The partnership with AI audio company ElevenLabs introduces the Magenta AI Call Assistant, which requires no app or specific device. Users can opt in to access features like live language translation during calls.

Following the March 10 building permit for its planned data center in Horndal, Google Sweden has responded to key objections regarding electricity prices, job creation, and community benefits. Communications chief Joakim Larsson clarifies the project's status, as groundwork continues without a final business decision to build.

Japan's Fair Trade Commission has launched an investigation into Microsoft Corp. on suspicion of violating the anti-monopoly law by charging higher licensing fees to businesses using its software on rival cloud services, sources close to the matter said Wednesday.
