India’s Jai Dadi Group has begun construction of a $16m ferro alloys plant in Sinai’s Technology Valley. The facility will create around 300 jobs and focus on silico-manganese and ferroalloy production.
Walid Gamal El Din, chairperson of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, laid the foundation stone for the Nile Ferro Alloys plant on 30 June 2026 in the East Ismailia Industrial Zone.
The project covers 80,000 square metres. It will produce silico-manganese, process ferroalloys and manufacture intermediate iron products from scrap metal for use in infrastructure, heavy engineering and railway components.
The event was attended by Ismailia Governor Nabil Habashi, Indian Ambassador Suresh K. Reddy and Jai Dadi Group chairperson Subash Kumar. Gamal El Din said the zone has attracted more than $16bn in investments from 30 countries over the past four years.
