Low-cost airline JetSmart revealed plans to connect Bogotá with Bucaramanga and Cúcuta, starting operations in June. The announcement occurred at the Vitrina Turística de Anato 2026 in Corferias. These routes aim to expand air services in regions with significant potential.
JetSmart, a low-cost airline, announced the launch of two new domestic routes in Colombia. The Bogotá-Bucaramanga connection will start on June 2, with 14 weekly frequencies and over 5,200 seats available. Meanwhile, the Bogotá-Cúcuta route will begin on June 4, providing 10 weekly services and 3,348 seats.
The announcement took place during the Vitrina Turística de Anato 2026, held at Corferias in Bogotá. Mario García, JetSmart's Country Manager in Colombia, stated: "Bucaramanga and Cúcuta symbolize our commitment to regions with extraordinary potential that need more efficient air services. Reaching Santander and strengthening our operations in Norte de Santander is a clear sign of our roadmap in Colombia: expanding where there is real demand, showing that operational efficiency is the best way to energize the market".
In 2025, JetSmart achieved a 14% market share, carrying over eight million passengers since arriving two years ago, with a 96% year-over-year growth. The company operates with 12 Airbus A320neo aircraft and a network of 21 routes across 11 domestic destinations, including these new links. Regionally, it has 54 aircraft, more than 80 routes, and has transported 50 million passengers.
