Kd toppnamn vill byta namn på Älvdalens kommun

Martin Antblad, Kristdemokraternas toppnamn i Älvdalen, lanserar ett förslag om att byta namn på kommunen inför höstens val till kommunfullmäktige.

Syftet med förslaget är att lyfta fram områdena Särna och Idre. Enligt Antblad hamnar dessa ofta i skymundan eftersom uppmärksamheten kretsar kring namnet Älvdalen.

Förslaget presenterades som ett sätt att skapa mer balans i kommunens identitet. Antblad menar att ett nytt namn skulle ge bättre synlighet åt hela området.

Valet till kommunfullmäktige äger rum i höst. Förslaget kommer från Kristdemokraterna i Älvdalen.
