Land cargo in Colombia grew 11.25% in May

The Ministry of Transport reported an 11.25% increase in land cargo movement during May, reaching 14.4 million tons.

According to official figures, 2,304 transport companies participated with 1.13 million vehicles. They generated 1.29 million cargo manifests and carried out 1.22 million trips.

Corn led solid cargo with 694,586 tons, followed by non-alcoholic beverages and various products. For liquids, refined petroleum oils stood out with 243.4 million gallons.

Valle del Cauca was the main origin with 2.56 million tons, while Cundinamarca led destinations with 1.98 million tons.

Minister María Fernanda Rojas said the growth reflects more dynamic and efficient logistics for the country.
