Masyarakat Antikorupsi Indonesia (MAKI) submitted a request on March 25, 2026, to Komisi III DPR RI for a Panitia Kerja (Panja) to examine KPK's decision to move hajj quota suspect Yaqut Cholil Qoumas to house arrest over Eid al-Fitr. MAKI coordinator Boyamin Saiman argued for transparency despite Yaqut's return to detention, alleging secretive processes and possible external intervention, as highlighted by Prof. Mahfud MD on social media. MAKI also contacted KPK's Dewan Pengawas on March 24 over potential ethical violations by KPK leaders. The issue surfaced after Silvia Harefa reported Yaqut's absence from detention on March 21.
