Montrezl Harrell sets BIG3 scoring record while playing in two tournaments

Montrezl Harrell delivered standout performances across The Basketball Tournament and the BIG3 last weekend. The former Louisville forward scored 42 points in a BIG3 game on Sunday to break the league's single-game record. He also contributed 35 points in a TBT contest on Monday.

Harrell suited up for The Ville against La Familia in the TBT on Saturday in Lexington, Kentucky. Less than a day later he traveled to Chicago and scored 42 points for the Chicago Triplets in a 50-31 win over LA Riot on Sunday. The performance broke the previous BIG3 record of 37 points.

On Monday Harrell returned to Louisville and scored 35 points at Freedom Hall to help even the TBT series against La Familia. He has now played two BIG3 games this season and ranks sixth in the league with 76 points.

Harrell is scheduled to play a decisive TBT Game 3 against La Familia at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday before traveling to Detroit for a BIG3 matchup on Thursday. He is also set to face DMV Trilogy in Atlanta on Aug. 2.
