Polisen varnar för katalysatorstölder i Dalarna

Flera bilägare i Dalarna har drabbats av stölder där katalysatorer tagits från parkerade fordon under de senaste dagarna. Polisen uppmanar till ökad vaksamhet, särskilt i Borlängeområdet.

Polismyndigheten rapporterar att gärningspersoner kapar bort katalysatorerna på bara några minuter från fordon som står parkerade. Brotten har främst drabbat bilägare i Borlänge men kan sprida sig till andra delar av regionen.

För att skydda sig rekommenderar polisen att parkera i låsta garage eller på upplysta platser med god insyn. Den som drabbas bör kontakta polisen direkt och göra en anmälan innan fordonet flyttas, för att möjliggöra brottsplatsundersökning.

Tips om misstänkta händelser kan lämnas till polisen på 114 14. Vid pågående brott ska alltid 112 ringas.
