Second Vice Science Minister Ryu Je-myung met with Jay Puri, Nvidia's executive vice president, at the company's headquarters in California on Friday local time.

According to the ministry, Ryu and Puri reached a consensus on the urgent need to set up Nvidia's R&D center in Korea and discussed strategies to jointly support artificial intelligence startups. This agreement underscores efforts to bolster Korea's AI ecosystem amid growing global competition in the sector.
