Fiktor Harefa, a security guard for the Jakarta MRT project, has forgiven three Polda Jawa Barat officers who intimidated him at Bundaran HI on 22 July 2026. Both sides resolved the dispute amicably.
The incident occurred around 12:00 WIB when Fiktor reprimanded a Toyota Alphard that ran a red light at the pedestrian crossing near Halte Bundaran HI. The three occupants, Polda Jawa Barat officers, took Fiktor to the Bundaran HI police post and threatened to report him to his vendor to get him fired.
Fiktor said he cried and prostrated himself out of fear of losing the job he had held for only three months. He stressed that the prostration was his own initiative, not ordered by anyone. One officer reportedly said "don't act like a thug" and mentioned long experience in Papua.
Polda Jawa Barat issued an apology and confirmed that an internal ethics probe will continue through a session of the Police Professional Ethics Commission. Both sides have forgiven each other. Fiktor will move to a security post guarding the Gedung Sate area in Bandung.
