Airlangga confirms DHE policy to start on June 1 2026

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto confirmed that the export proceeds policy will take effect on June 1 2026 following a meeting with the President at Merdeka Palace.

The President held a meeting on Thursday May 21 2026 at Merdeka Palace in central Jakarta with several Red and White Cabinet ministers and Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo. During the meeting Airlangga reported on the readiness to implement the export proceeds policy scheduled for June 1.

The government is preparing the export of strategic commodities such as crude palm oil coal and ferro alloy through PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia. Airlangga stated that all regulatory instruments from the Trade Ministry Bank Indonesia and the Finance Ministry will be completed before that date.

Airlangga asked foreign investors to remain calm because all export activities will continue to be carried out by existing companies. He explained that direct reporting to Danantara will be used to fine-tune the system in the first three months.

The government will also conduct outreach to business associations so that the policy is fully understood before it is enforced.
