Former minister Marcelo Tokman noted that a decree would allow changing the dispatch order and reserving reservoir water. Rainfall forecasts between July 15 and 19 could lower the risk.
Scheduled cuts would be the last resort. Experts say the decree prioritizes measures such as using gas and diesel to avoid interruptions.
