Hyundai Motor to open Suwon Hi-Tech Center on Wednesday

Hyundai Motor held an opening ceremony Tuesday for its new Suwon Hi-Tech Center in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, ahead of the official launch on Wednesday.

The Suwon Hi-Tech Center covers 51,497 square meters across two basement levels and five above-ground floors. It is Hyundai Motor's first facility to feature a smart mobility-based automated maintenance system aimed at improving service efficiency and cutting customer wait times.

Autonomous mobile robots, guided vehicles, case robots and an unmanned vehicle lift system handle parts logistics and vehicle transport. A remote diagnosis platform analyzes vehicle data before customers arrive so technicians can prepare repairs in advance.

The center also runs a data and noise, vibration and harshness analysis lab plus a joint quality analysis center for real-time collaboration with the company's research and development center and headquarters.
